Refund Policy
1. Scope & Applicability
This Refund & Cancellation Policy governs all purchases, installations, rentals, security deposits, and related services concerning Smart Gas Meters provided by the Company.
By purchasing or availing services, the customer ("Customer") agrees to be legally bound by this Policy.
2. Definitions
• Device means the Smart Gas Meter and associated hardware.
• Services means installation, activation, monitoring, and maintenance services.
• Security Deposit means any refundable deposit collected for the Device..
• Invoice means the tax invoice issued by the Company.
3. Refund Eligibility
Refunds shall be considered only under the following circumstances:
3.1 Pre-Installation Cancellation
• If the Customer cancels the order before dispatch or installation, a full refund may be issued after deduction of payment gateway or transaction charges, if applicable.
3.2 Device Manufacturing Defect
• If the Device is found defective due to manufacturing fault within the warranty period, the Company may, at its sole discretion:
• Any copy of the content or portion thereof must include the text of the "Copyright; Limited License" notice above.
• Repair the Device, OR
• Replace the Device, OR
• Issue a refund if repair or replacement is not feasible.
3.3 Duplicate or Excess Payment
• Verified duplicate or excess payments will be refunded after internal reconciliation.
Limitation of Liabilities:
3.4 Service Non-Delivery
• If installation is not completed due to reasons solely attributable to the Company, the Customer may request a refund.
4. Non-Refundable Conditions
Refunds shall NOT be granted under the following conditions:
1. Damage caused by:
• Tampering
• Unauthorized modification
• Mishandling
• External physical damage
2. Gas leakage caused by third-party interference.
3. Relocation without Company-approved reinstallation.
4. Customer refusal of installation after technician visit (installation visit charges may apply).
5. Failure to provide required documents or site access.
6. Delays caused due to force majeure events (including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, strikes, or supply chain disruptions).
5. Security Deposit Refund
Where a refundable Security Deposit has been collected:
• The Device must be returned in working condition, subject to inspection.
• The Company reserves the right to deduct:
1. Damage costs
2. Outstanding dues
3. Unpaid service charges
• TRefund of eligible deposit amount shall be processed within 14–21 working days from the date of successful inspection.
6. Refund Procedure
To request a refund, the Customer must:
• Submit a written request via registered email to:support@akatronics.com.
• Provide:
1. Customer ID
2. Invoice Number
3.Payment proof
Reason for request
The Company shall review and respond within 7 working days.
Approval or rejection of refund requests shall be at the sole discretion of the Company, subject to applicable law.
7. Mode of Refund
• Refunds shall be processed only to the original mode of payment.
• Cash refunds shall not be issued under any circumstances.
• Processing timelines may vary depending on banking channels.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Company's total liability, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed the amount paid by the Customer for the Device or Service in question.
The Company shall not be liable for:
• Indirect or consequential losses
• Loss of gas supply due to external pipeline issues
• Customer negligence
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in [Coimbatore, India].
10. Policy Amendments
The Company reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time without prior notice. The latest version shall be published on the official website and shall be binding
